Yurt 2.0 reimagines the traditional yurt with enhanced modularity and easier assembly and disassembly, making it more adaptable to contemporary nomadic life. It introduces three types of modular rooms mounted on casters, allowing residents to rearrange interior spaces according to changing needs. Four additional secondary spaces feature adjustable flooring, providing further flexibility for different activities, seasons, and family preferences. This adaptable system maintains the spirit of mobility central to nomadic culture while improving everyday functionality. To support modern living, Yurt 2.0 integrates sustainable technologies. Solar panels and battery storage generate renewable electricity for charging smartphones, powering lights, and running a freezer to preserve food. A greywater tank enables water reuse for flushing, while an anaerobic reactor converts food, human, and animal waste into biogas for cooking. Together, these features enhance self-sufficiency, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and create a balance between tradition, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
